Our Heritage & Commitment

United Oil Palm Industries Sdn. Bhd. traces its roots back to 1975, when it was established as a palm oil mill. In 2008, the company joined the Huat Heng Group, strengthening its capabilities through the integration of extensive fresh fruit bunch (FFB) sourcing expertise with established milling operations. This strategic milestone created a fully integrated business that continues to deliver quality products while supporting sustainable growth across the palm oil value chain.

Today, backed by a strong network of 24 strategically located FFB collection centres across Kedah, Perak, and Penang, we efficiently source Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) from independent smallholders and plantations. This integrated supply chain ensures the timely and seamless delivery of quality FFB to our modern palm oil mill, enabling efficient processing and the consistent production of high-quality crude palm oil and palm kernel products.

Biogas Project with Green Lagoon Technology

In our joint venture with Green Lagoon Technology Sdn. Bhd. (GLT), we have developed a state-of-the-art biogas project that generates approximately 550,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of renewable energy annually.

This initiative is a strategic measure to tackle oil palm waste disposal challenges while reducing environmental impact. By converting Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME) into clean energy, we significantly reduce methane emissions and the country's dependence on natural fuels.
